I call the swan Chin-san.

The reason is that Chin-san is a double chin swan.

Recently Chin-san is covered with a lot of new feathers.

When I went to Kucyaro lake in Hokkaido, I found out a Tundra Swan attached a foot ring.

The number was 15A00306. I sent an e-mail for Yamachina Birds Instituion.

Then an officer told me about the Swan as follow.

The Swan was attached the foot ring and a communicator by a investigator on the 16th of April in 2009.

And about 5 years have passed.

I happened to find out the Swan attached the foot ring.

It's lucky for the Swan ,because the Swan hasn't already attached the heavy communicator.

If the Swan is fine, the Swan will come back to Hokkaido in this autumn soon.

The water level was very high at my fixed observation point in Nanakita river.

The reason was that the typhhon passed in Japan.

But swans were fine while they were swimming and were rested at the concrete block.

On the middle of June, a whooper swan came flying in Nanakita river.
I called her Roku-cyan.

Swans have been thinning their feathers.
Maybe they will change from winter feathers to summer ones.
